Melanie Moore (born September 17, 1991) is a Contemporary dancer. She competed and was crowned the Winner of eighth season of So You Think You Can Dance.
Biography[]
Melanie Moore was the winner of SYTYCD Season 8. She was raised in Marietta, Georgia and attended Lassiter High School. She trained for 12 years at Rhythm Dance Center and won the national JUMP Senior Female VIP title. She was formerly a student at Fordham University for art in New York City but now resides in Los Angeles, California as a professional dancer.

Melanie Moore (born September 17, 1991) is an American professional dancer and actress best known as the winner of the eighth season of the U.S. reality television competition So You Think You Can Dance.[1] According to the results announced on the broadcast, Moore won "overwhelmingly", garnering 47% of the vote in a four-way final tally.[2]
Early life and education
[edit]Moore was educated in Marietta, Georgia, where she attended Lassiter High School and was crowned homecoming queen. At the time of the SYTYCD competition, she was a 19-year-old college freshman attending Fordham University at Lincoln Center in New York City.[3] Moore trained and competed for twelve years at Centre Stage School of Dance, followed by training and competing at Rhythm Dance Center, both located in Marietta.[4] Moore won the National JUMP

I attended a preview performance of the new Off-Broadway show Cheek to Cheek: Irving Berlin in Hollywoodintending to report on the work of its conceiver-director-choreographer Randy Skinner, the Tony-nominated choreographer of the 2001 Broadway revival of 42nd Street. And indeed, Skinner’s dances for this charming six-person revue — comprising songs Berlin wrote for mid-20th century movie musicals — proved transporting in authentically recreating period tap and show-dance styles.
