  • Scott Stuber is the head of Original Films at Netflix, where he oversees the development, production and acquisition of Netflix Films.

    Scott grew up in Granada Hills, California, the youngest of two boys. During his years at Chaminade, he played baseball and basketball. Athletic Hall of Fame member Mike Lynn taught and coached Scott all through high school; he credits Scott with leading the basketball team to the championship of the Santa Fe League during his senior year.

    After graduating from Chaminade, Scott attended the University of of Arizona, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television.

    Scott began his career as an assistant in the Universal Pictures marketing department, and after spending 20 years as either an executive or a producer with the studio, Scott ultimately became Universal’s Vice Chairman of Worldwide Production. He oversaw many critically-acclaimed, award-winning and commercially-successful films, including the Fast and the Furious

    Scott Stuber is an American bio producer. He was the chairman of Netflix Films.[1]

    Career

    After graduating from University of Arizona with a bio degree, Stuber worked at Universal Pictures as a publicity assistant to Lew Wasserman.[2]

    Stuber was co-president of production at Universal with Mary Parent and in 2004, Stuber and Parent were named Vice Chairman of Worldwide Production for Universal Pictures. In 2005, Universal signed a production contract with the duo under the shingle Stuber/Parent Productions.[3]

    In November 2008, it was announced that Stuber signed a five-year contract through 2013 with Universal Studios beneath his vanity card, Stuber Pictures. He has been credited with producing such films as Role Models (2008), Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins (2008), The Kingdom (2007), You, Me and Dupree (2006), The Break-Up (2006), and Ted (2012).
