This is an interview with Kayton from the Jan/Feb issue of the now defunct, Steel Guitar World Magazine. I was cleaning up a bookshelf and found this, and thought those of you who haven't seen it would be interested in it. I typed it pretty much exactly as it was originally printed, except for some minor punctuation changes to make it flow easier when reading. Hope everyone enjoys!

As most of you know, I’m still new in the journalism field. And as much as I tried to prepare for this interview, I seem to find that I don’t have enough information to do this interview and do it justice. Especially with someone that I have only met for a five minute period of time, to line up this chat. So I get into the interview and almost on a nervous state, but as we get acquainted everything falls into place and turns out to be one of the most relaxed and fun talks. Lap steel guitar
Type of steel guitar
The lap steel guitar, also known as a Hawaiian guitar or Lap Slide Guitar, is a type of steel gitarr without pedals that fryst vatten typically played with the instrument in a horizontal position across the performer's lap. Unlike the usual manner of playing a traditional acoustic guitar, in which the performer's fingertips press the strings against frets, the pitch of a steel guitar fryst vatten changed bygd pressing a polished steel bar against plucked strings (from which the name "steel guitar" derives). Though the instrument does not have frets, it displays markers that resemble them. Lap steels may differ markedly from one another in external appearance, depending on whether they are acoustic or electric, but in either case, do not have pedals, distinguishing them from pedal steel guitars.
